How about arrrrggh Pirate Party?

After seeing the amazing pirate ship that my friends created for their daughters’ birthday, I’ve been itching for an excuse to do a pirate party post.

How can you see this awesome pirate ship and think otherwise?
Mind you my friend is a wonderfully arty, creative type, and both her and her equally awesome husband are engineers with access to very big boxes. Endless possibilities!

Since yesterday was International Pirate Day, I have my excuse right? Oh and there is always this excuse…

I digress… An easier pirate ship option for the less creative amongst us (me), would be this pirate ship party food table from Cake Likes a Party

A pirate party needs a treasure hunt, and for that – a treasure map!

How about some pirate photo booth props from Etsy Seller littleforests? At only US$5.00, these printables are a cute edition to the party table or photo booth setup.

For party food, I’m thinking these Pirate bento boxes would be an awesome change from the usual party-fare. They are healthy, but exciting too, bet they would get gobbled up quick-smart! How cute are those pirate sword fruit kebabs?

And for ideas on dress-ups, check out Danni’s post: Pirate Girl Costume – on the cheap and very cheerful

To end, a couple more pirate ship photos…
