The Great Australian Dream Part 2

Well we now own (a small part of) a house! It was a stormy day on Friday when we did our final inspection and picked up the keys, but how exciting! Here are a few more photos of the interior (excuse the mess). Still a lot to be done, carpet gets laid in the bedrooms, and loungeroom today. DH will be having a go at tiling the living/dining/kitchen and wet areas at some point in the future, in the meantime there is nothing like learning to crawl on concrete floors, right Master O??

The view from Miss E’s bedroom…

The view from our bedroom – there is a mountain behind all that cloud!

The lounge rooom – feature wall is Dulux Raku.

The living/dining area with a sneak peek into the kitchen and pantry room.

The view from the kitchen window.

My shiny oven, cannot WAIT to use it, and will be SO happy to go back to cooking on a gas cooktop. Splashback colour is Dulux Redbox.

Dishwasher is still to go in, but with that view washing up can’t be too much of a chore. The builder’s left us a (so soft) puppy dog toy and a hamper full of Tasmanian goodies – gotta love that!

The rest of our kitchen, looking across to the living area. The bench tops are Wilsonart Astral Dovetail and the cupboards are Wilsonart Zircon Shimmer.

The main walls are all Dulux Whisper White, ceiling Dulux White on White and all the feature walls are Dulux Raku.
So I’m off over there today once the carpet is in. I need to mark out where the washing line is to go. I also need to go and find a letterbox. There really isn’t anything too interesting around, though I guess when it comes down to it, it’s just.a.letterbox…
